With sun to finally make an appearance in the cricket calendar the obvious decision would appear to be to bat first, however with the ground still damp from the weeks of rain previously Knebworth won the toss and decided to bowl first.
A mixture of a slow start from the park and some excellent batting from Tewin saw Tewin race to 90-1 off 10 overs. With some control needed with the ball, Matt Hutchinson (10-1-58-0) and Graham Fisher (10-2-41-2) slowed down that run rate. Luke Mably (6-0-30-1) and Mark Woods (7-0-37-2) finished off the second half of the bowling nicely with Tewin setting 318 to win.
In truth the batting never really got going for the park and the run rate growing every over. Knebworth found themselves 40-4 which brought Robert Morley (45) and Saqib Ali to the crease to try and get some much needed points. With some attacking stroke play from the pair saw Knebworth get to 141 all out and take 10 points from the day.
