Want to get your children into cricket? Here at Knebworth Park we want to make it easy.
If your child has energy to spare or you are just eager to get them off their Xboxes and into one of the most beautiful grounds in the region, then come along to our juniors open day.
The event, for children from five to 13, is being held on Sunday, April 14, from 10am. We’re sure you’ll like what you see.
I’s a chance to sample the greatest game in the world in a safe, happy environment, where it really is all about getting some fresh air and having fun. Every child, no matter their ability or physical prowess, is welcome.
Cricket is not just for boys. More and more girls are playing and we have a thriving girls’ section. Some of our star players in our senior teams last year were girls.
Don’t worry about equipment. We’ll sort that. Don’t worry about cost. It’s free. Don’t worry about safety. We look after the children and will make sure they can’t get hurt. Don’t worry your child might be overawed. We’ll make them feel at home.
If your child enjoys their first taste of cricket, we would love them to join us for our regular coaching sessions and to be part of our junior sides.
We have also signed up for All Stars cricket, a fantastic, fun ECB initiative to get younger children taking part. Sessions will be held every Friday evening from May 10.
It’s going to be an amazing summer of cricket… a World Cup in England where we have our best chance in decades of winning followed by an Ashes series to savour.
It will be a summer to inspire the next generation of Roots and Buttlers and Moeens.
Knebworth Park does not want your child to miss out. Come along on April 14.
