Cockfosters 141 all out, KPCC 142-9
The Firsts’ penchant for thrilling victories continued into their County Cup game on Sunday away to Cockfosters where they won by just one wicket on Sunday.
Last pair Gareth Jones (15 not out) and No.11 Jack Orchard saw them home in chasing the home team’s 141 all out to finish on 142 for 9.
Skipper Guy Warman was the pick of the bowlers with 4 for 22 and had support from Shaun Robinson and Jarrod Turner, pictured above, with two apiece as Cockfosters were bowled out in only 38 overs.
Turner (35) held the early batting together but when he fell at 80 for 6, the Park’s task looked gloomy.
But Robinson (25) and Thirds captain Ian Woods (22) revived their fortunes before the last pair of Jones and Orchard secured a place in the quarter-final away to Abbots Langley.
