The start of the cricket season is getting closer. The outfield has been cut and the ground is already beginning to look smart.
To help prepare the clubhouse and ground for the start of the season we’ve a working party from 9.30am on Saturday, March 25. We need plenty of helping hands. Anyone who has leafblowers, wheelbarrows and jet washers, please bring them along.
Before the start of the season on Friday, April 7, we have the launch of the season with the visit of expert batmaker Charlie French who comes from a famous family that boasts two Test cricketers.
This will also see the launch of our new the range from Marstons, our new brewery supplier. Also, we’ve gone contactless, so everyone can pay their bar bills more easily.
Club cricket shirts and other club clothing is recommended and this can be ordered direct from Tyler’s sportswear
Coming up soon will be information on how you can help with fundraising and admin on the new ground project and on an Easter Cricket Camp from April 10-14 for 13- to 70-year-olds and this will be aimed at boys and girls. More info on this from Leroy at leroy@atcoms.co.za
In addition, the club is seeking volunteers to assist with coaching or with administration in helping with training and running the juniors teams. Relevant advice and training can be provided. Please us know if you can help.
