We’re off to a flier already! The ground is in great shape after a fabulous turnout for the work party on Good Friday.
Now, we need to make sure that we have plenty of players ready, willing and able to take to the field this summer.

Cricket chairman Adam Sergeant said: “If everyone fills it in, we know exactly the numbers we can expect to play and organise the fixtures around it. We have trimmed the number of league side to four this year so we expect to have competition for places, so don’t miss out.”
The clubhouse and ground is now looking much the better for all the good work over Easter. There is still much to do and once conditions have dried, we’ll have another work party to get the nets up and running.
Before then there’s many ways in which each of you can help.
First of all there’s that nasty word – subs – and if you could all pay online at Club Pay it would help our cash flow which is always a challenge at this time of the year when the club expenditure is greatest. So please, please pay ASAP.
Then, as always we need more players (both juniors and seniors) – so do invite your friends and family to come along and play. We have a welcome night at 7pm on 22 April, so spread the word to invite them along. We have a roadshow from a specialist bat maker, juniors’ fun matches, barbecue and the arrival of our overseas player from South Africa, Keagan Foley.
We are also looking for new sponsors for perimeter advertising boards. If you know of anyone who might be keen to join our list of sponsors, please contact Leroy Van Der Westhuizen, who has a number of ideas that he is planning to introduce. So any leads or ideas, let him know at leroy@atcoms.co.za
Importantly, we are also seeking more coaches or coaching helpers for our junior sides where we urgently need help for the Under-9, Under 10 and Under 12B teams. Anyone interested, please contact Chris Johnson, chrisjohnson.1@sky.com, 07867 580492
There are various club tasks that we need help with – a barbecue manager, bar stocktaker, scorers, new ground project manager and juniors chairman.
