A convincing win against St Albans this evening means that the Knebworth Park girls are through to the county under-17 final.
Our first four batters (Rebecca, Amie, Izzy and Charlotte) all retired not out with scores of 30 with good shots played by each of them resulting in a number of boundaries including Rebecca’s big six.
The Park finished their innings with a superb 158-0 from their 20 overs.
Despite tweaking our bowling order to make sure everyone got a bowl, St Albans couldn’t come close, finishing with 85-4.
The game was played in great spirit between the sides.
The fixture against Harpenden next week will be a dry run of the final, to be played at the Park on July 12.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the Park’s under-13 girls would be in their county final on the same day when they take on Abbots Langley in a repeat of last year’s match.
