Knebworth Park Seconds continue to push for promotion with a typically bullish victory against lowly Baldock.
Mark Taylor picked up a couple of wickets with truly questionable deliveries, skipper Warman bagged another pair but the pick of the bowling was Shaun Robinson with his first five-for of the season. Finally putting their fielding woes behind them, Warman’s team didn’t drop anything this time around.
Ryan Skeggs and Robinson opened up in explosive fashion with a view to chasing the meagre total in quick time.
Typically the Seconds found themselves five wickets down with 60-odd required and more than enough overs to play with.
But the solid lower-middle order, again, showed there was nothing to worry about. Lee Robinson (43no) and Ed Wright (27no) made short work of the remaining total with the former finishing off in stye with a six over long-off.
The win takes Park to third in the table four points off the division’s leaders at nearly the half way point.
