Knebworth’s under-13 girls have a chance to avenge last season’s final day heartache as they take on Abbots Langley, the side who beat them by one run last year.
The girls were confirmed as finalists in the Audrey Collins HJL with the rematch to take place on Sunday, July 12, at the Park, when Knebworth hosts the under-11, under-13 and under-17 girls finals.
The under-13s reached the final having won all the games they played including a defeat of Abbots Langley.
Unfortunately, three games were conceded by opposition teams and we only finished second in the league by five points after having to share points for the home fixture against Welwyn Garden City which could not be fulfilled.
Knebworth may yet be in the under-17 final, too, and that should be determined following the matches against St Albans tomorrow (Tuesday) evening and then against Harpenden next week.
A win tomorrow should be enough as Harpenden have already beaten St Albans.
It should be a great day of cricket at The Park on July 12 so please try to get along and support our girls.
