The club and its coaches have been working hard over the winter to make sure that 2015 is our best season in a long while. We’re getting juniors, coaches and their parents together for an hour on the evening of Friday, March 20, to let you know what’s going on this summer.
There’ll be an update on the plans for our exciting new ground, an introduction to this season’s coaches, the new coaching programme available this year, our regular squad training times, a few surprises and more besides. You’ll also be able to register the players, to avoid the annoying start of season rush.
We’d love to see you all there, both parents and children. We’ll start at 6.30pm, and keep the talking short. That way, you’ll be able to catch up with friends and get into the cricketing mood and the youngsters won’t get bored.
In the meantime, we’re still running junior winter nets every Saturday at Nobel School from 3.45pm to 4.45pm. The last session there is on Saturday, March 28. We take a break the following weekend, as it’s Easter. Then we start training at the ground on Sunday, April 12, at 10am.
We’re as keen as ever to introduce cricket to new players and to introduce the club to new members. We’re working with several primary schools near Knebworth and starting to see some new faces at Nobel on Saturdays.
New players can come in at any age, with or without any prior experience. We’re after any children who want to give cricket a go. If you or your child knows anyone at school who wants to try us out, please do nudge them to get in touch, or simply just come along on spec.
