It’s a bit of a late call but the weather forecast is reasonable and help is needed for a work party at the ground tomorrow (Sunday).
If you are free or an hour or so, please head for the Park to tie up the nets for the winter and to take down the canvas sightscreen
Chairman Chris Johnson said: ‘It’s important work to protect these for the winter to ensure the netting and the sightscreen doesn’t deteriorate. Obviously, everyone benefits either or both from the sightscreen and the netting.’
Work starts at the club at 10.30 and should not take more than an hour-and-a-half.
Earlier this month, the main work party got most of the key jobs done – putting the screens and covers away, finishing off the top square, taking down advertising boards and taking netting down off mobile net.
In particular, a big thank you goes to Sandy Reynolds for helping groundsman Ross Courtney getting some vital jobs done round the ground.
