It’s nearly the end of the season but there’s still plenty of stuff to look forward to at the Park before you pack away your whites for another winter.
First up, is the final round of league games on Saturday. The Firsts, Fifths and Sixths have all completed their campaigns but the three other sides have one more outing.
The Seconds and Thirds are at home, while the Fourths must head to Cockfosters.
Afterwards, of course, is the presentation night, when awards are given out for those outstanding performers on and off the pitch.
On Sunday, there is a friendly fixture against our good friends from Aston, followed by the girls’ county presentations.
The final game of the season follows on Sunday, September 14, against Harrow Wayfarers. Sadly, this could be the last game for another familiar face around the club, Bobby Crowe, as his family is moving to the south coast.
On Saturday, September 20, Chris Johnson has organised a club day out to the one-day final at Lord’s. It should be great fun but, if you have booked to go, please make sure that you give Chris your payment for your tickets.
The final event of the season will be the juniors’ presentation day, with some fun matches for the children at 2pm, followed by the handing out of awards at 5pm.
Chairman Chris Johnson said: ‘It’s always sad when another season draws to a close but there is still plenty to celebrate and enjoy at the Park.
‘Please support these events. It would be great to see as many faces as possible at the club in the next few weeks.’
