What could be better than warm sunshine, plenty of space for the children to let off steam, a jug of Pimms or a cold beer and great music all in a beautiful setting?
That’s right, nothing. So, get yourselves along to the Park on Sunday, August 24, for our bank holiday weekend Music In The Park event.
During the afternoon there will be a disco and we are in the throes of putting together an entertaining and varied line-up of performers. In the evening, there will be an excellent band, being organised by Gav Skeggs, as our headline act.
If you don’t know about Gav’s work, check out his website here.
Our ever excellent barbie, with veggie options, will be running throughout the day.
As it’s a cricket club, there will be Kwik cricket games for the children, while other sporting challenges are being lined up for all ages.
We’ve got plenty of seating but feel free to bring your own comfy chairs or picnic blankets. There’ll be plenty of pop-up gazebos for shelter or shade, come rain or shine.
We’re still looking for other musicians to perform during the afternoon in a jam session, so anyone keen or who knows musicians up for this, please get in touch with Shaun Robinson on 0783 4716327.
Shaun said: ‘This is a great family day and we plan to have children’s activities in the afternoon with the likes of a bouncy castle.
‘Our fingers are crossed for some great weather – hopefully, the sun will shine like it has for the past three years!’
Tickets are just a fiver for adults but under-16s get in free. The fun will start at 2pm.
