A taste of the West End will be coming to the Park for our fabulous Music in the Park family day at the club on Sunday, August 24. It should be a cracking, fun-filled day, so please make the effort to come and let all your family and friends know.
A raft of first-class acts have been lined up, while there will also be a bouncy castle for young children and pink kwik cricket for boys and girls.
West End starlet Emily Dunn, who was recently seen in the lead role of Sophie in Mamma Mia!, will reprise some of the best known Abba songs. She landed her role in the cast of the hit West End show after graduating from the prestigious Arts Ed theatre school in London. Emily’s a name to look out for in bright lights before too long and you can hear her first at Knebworth.
Another future theatreland star, Holli Paige Farr, a recent graduate of the equally renowned Mountview Theatre School, will offer a taste of the big hits from the musicals, too.
Caroline Pickering, who is studying musical theatre at Chichester University, completes the line-up. One of her sets will be Disney classics for the children and young at heart.
Rock’n’roll trio, The Oldtones, have also been added to the line-up and there’s still the opportunity for other performers to join in the entertainment through the afternoon.
In the evening, there will be more music from the Manhattan Band, starring Gavin Skeggs, who regularly performs at venues across Europe.
The entertainment begins at 2pm and carries on into the evening with the Manhattan Band starting at 6pm.
Entrance is £5 for adults, children free.
