On a dismal day for the Park, the Sixths were the only side to claim the full 30 points on Saturday – and they didn’t even set foot on the field.
Gareth Taylor’s side was all geared up to play for the first time in several weeks, when Welwyn Garden City V withdrew and forfeited the game,
Meanwhile, the four sides that did take to the pitch all lost in disappointing fashion.
The Firsts crashed to a 42-run defeat at Old Finchleians and the Seconds also suffered a five-wicket reverse against Old Elizabethans, despite a well made 49 by in-form batsman Sayf Khan.
The Thirds squandered a victory opportunity, allowing Welwyn Garden City III to recover from a dead-and-buried 31-8 to overhaul their 144 target.
And to round off a weekend to forget, the Fourths went down by eight wickets at home as Harpenden Dolphins easily hunted down their 115 all out.
