The Sunday XI squandered their unbeaten record as a complacent performance let visitors Harrow-on-the-Hill sneak a victory this weekend.
The Park batted first with James Leather striking a powerful 80 and under-14s Archie Stephens and Harry Holman both making 30 apiece.
Then, a collapse led to the Sunday XI failing to press on and finishing on a less-than-expected 212 for 8.
The visitors didn’t seem to be chasing and complacency set in. Harrow upped the momentum which the Park couldn’t stall and the visitors inflicted the Sunday side’s first taste of defeat this season, getting home thanks to a few dropped catches by seven wickets.
However, Harrow-on-the-Hill, new visitors to the Park this season, were a lovely crowd and perfect Sunday opposition.
Next Sunday, the Sunday team take on another touring side in Lower Earley as they make their way home to Berkshire.
